Bring your CO2 tank in any time and swap with a filled tank with no wait. 5 and 10 pound tank swaps are fast and inexpensive if you purchased your tank at Gnome Brew or are swapping an aluminum tank that has been testing in the past 5 years (see Is My Tank In Code below). CO2 Refills While You Wait

If you don't want to swap out your tank we can also refill almost any in-code tank while you wait. We reccomend you call ahead for availability for fills, especially for 10 pound tanks. See the chart below for pricing.

Nitrogen and Beer Gas Swaps

We also offer swaps for 20 cubic foot Nitrogen and Beer Gas (75% Nitrogen, 25% CO2) if you purchased your tank at Gnome Brew or are swapping an aluminum tank that has been testing in the past 5 years (see Is My Tank In Code below).

Is My Tank In Code?

All CO2, Beer Gas and other high pressure tanks must undergo hydrostatic testing every 5 years to ensure its ability to safely hold pressure. After testing, the month and year of the test date is etched on the tank (see photo). Tanks are safe to refill for 5 years past after the test date before requiring another hydrostatic test. There may be several dates etched on any tank, so make sure to look around for the last test date to determine if your tank is still in code.

If you purchased your gas tank from Gnome Brew or if your tank was already swapped at Gnome Brew you will never have to pay a testing fee. If you wish swap a tank that is out of code and it was not purchased or previously swapped at Gnome Brew you will be charged a one time testing fee (see price chart).
