White Labs PurePitch® Next Generation
White Labs Transitioning To New Packaging
Twice The Yeast Per Pack
PurePitch® Next Generation combines the ease of the vial and the innovation of PurePitch®, offering a pouch with a cap AND double the pitch, allowing you to pitch like the pros. No need for starters! White Labs' goal in creating PurePitch® Next Generation for Homebrewers was to provide a product that will allow hobbyists and small scale brewers a convenient and modular package to pitch a consistent 7.5 million cells / mL; a commercially recommended pitching rate for standard ale ranges.
Better Packaging For Lasting Yeast Viability
White Labs strains are propagated in their patented FlexCell™ technology process. PurePitch® Next Generation has a proprietary film designed specifically for White Labs and allows for one way off-gassing to promote yeast health and viability. The cap allows for ease of use, no more scissors or fumbling with two layer film.
Currently Available in PurePitch NextGen:
WLP036 Dusseldorf Alt Ale, WLP037 Yorkshire Square Ale, WLP080 Cream Ale Blend, WLP705 Sake #7

| Notes: |

| This recipe is leaning more towards the Murphy's interpretation than Guinness. We mash very cool for a highly fermentable wort, saving the roast malt (including Crystal) for a short steep which helps keep the roast flavors smooth, not acrid or astringent. If you can't increase your mash to 168˚ for the steep, that's fine, steep at 144˚ F. |

On Tap At Gnome Brew
Hop Sampler: Azacca® (5% ABV)
Azacca®, named for the Haitian god of agriculture, is a hop big in citrus and tropical fruit tones. It’s excellent aromatic qualities have quickly made Azacca® a go-to hop for late and dry hop additions in varying styles of beer.
Vienna SMaSH Lager (6.4% ABV)
100% Weyermann Vienna, hopped with Tettnang and fermented cold with Omega's OYL-106 German Lager 1 Yeast. This simple recipe yielded a beautiful light amber beer with both aromas and flavors or bread and honey while being very drinkable with a dry finish.
Golden Promise Wee Heavy (8.6% ABV)
A strong Scottish style ale brew with 16 pounds of our Malt of the Month, Simpsons Golden Promise with a dash of Simpsons Dark Crystal and Red Rye Crystal. This sticky, slightly viscous and boozy bronze colored ale tastes of graham cracker, maple, caramel, with a light vegetal pepperiness from the Red Rye Crystal.
On Deck
Hop Sampler: Galaxy (5% ABV)
Undoubtedly Australia's most popular hop, Galaxy® has quickly come to dominate the IPA space since being in 2009. Galaxy has a very high concentration of oils which impart loads of tropical flavor, notably passion fruit, as well as peach and citrus, and which become more distinct when used late in the kettle, whirlpool or dry hopping.
While Galaxy is great by itself, it is often paired with Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe and Amarillo.
Tor (8% ABV)
A house favorite and perfect for drinking while fasting during the Lenten season. This very rich, malty lager with hints of dark dried fruit and artisanal bread crust is a classic take on the famous beer first brewed by the Paulaner monks—a style now known as doppelbock. Our recipe has a simple grain bill of Weyermann's Munich Type 2, Floor Malted Bohemian Pilsner Malt and CaraMunich 2.
Simpsons Munich Baltic Porter (8% ABV)
Simpsons Munich Dunkles Bock (6.3% ABV)
