August Malt of The Month: Weyermann Barke Vienna
Weyermann® Barke® Vienna Malt creates full-bodied beer, with golden color, smooth taste, and intensely malty-sweet flavors. Gentle notes of honey and nuts (almond and hazelnut) also come through when using this malt. Excellent process characteristics in the brew house and during filtration, along with increased extract efficiency set Barke® Vienna Malt apart. Weyermann® Barke® Vienna Malt is the malt for authentic lagers.
Perfect for Bavarian Dunkel, Festbier, Marzens, Pale Ale and IPA, Lager, Stouts and of course Vienna Lager.

Join us for our monthly bottle share at the shop. Just bring a couple bottles of your homebrewed beer, cider, wine, mead, or whatever to share with others. If you're new to homebrewing or just don't have any spare bottles, don't worry—you're welcome to come.
Bottle shares are a great opportunity to try others' homebrews, get feedback on your own homebrew, and trade tips, tricks and stories. But mostly, it's a time to hang out and have fun with fellow beer lovers.

Try A Wine Kit! Heritage Estates Sauvignon Blanc (6.5 % ABV)
A refreshing, medium-bodied, dry Sauvignon Blanc style wine with crisp, green apple flavors and pleasant herbal notes. Unoaked. Each kit contains everything you need to make 6 gallons of your very own craft wine in as little as four weeks.
Hop Sampler: Willamette (6.2% ABV)
Traditionally a stout aroma hop, Willamette is an American descendant of Fuggle. Our hop sampler surprised with an aroma of citrus rind leading into flavors of black tea and grass. Consider using this hop to support dark fruit and chocolate character, or experiment with it in pale beer!
Our Hop Sampler is a single hop Pale Ale brewed with 2-Row, White Wheat and Bonlander Munich, bittered with CTZ Hop Extract, and finished with a hop-stand and dry hop addition of the featured hop.
Helles + (4.9% ABV)
Brewed using Omega’s new German Lager+ which breaks down the diacetyl precursor before it can affect your beer’s flavor and mouthfeel. This Munich style Helles highlights the malt character of Weyermann Pilsner and finishes with a snappy subtle bitterness.
Simply Brewing Czech Pilsner (6.5 % ABV)
Czech pilsners are known for bitterness and hop character balanced by malt flavor and sweetness. While Pilsner Urquell is lagered for months before packaging out kit lets you turn your pilsner around in just four week at room temperature!
A pale golden color, our Czech pilsner is brewed with tons of Czech Saaz hops and a healthy steeping grain addition of Floor Malted Bohemian Pilsner malt. The hop character is floral and subtle and the body is biscuity with notes of bread crust and honey.
