Bottle Share on December 9th at 7:15 PM

Special Holiday Closet Cleanout Edition

This month grab those bottles that have been collecting dust in your closet, basement or back of the fridge.  Special releases or just bottles whose labels have fallen off and you can't remember what it is are all welcome.  This is the occasion you've been waiting for to open that bottle!

If you're new to homebrewing or just don't have any spare bottles, don't worry—you're welcome to come.

Bottle shares are a great opportunity to try others' homebrews, get feedback on your own homebrew, and trade tips, tricks and stories.  But mostly, it's a time to hang out and have fun with fellow beer lovers.

Remember to bring a mask!  This is a free event.

New Recipe Kit - Milk Stout

A great style for the winter, our milk stout is a dark, sweet, full bodied and roasty beer.  The addition of unfermentable lactose adds an extra rich, silky and comforting layer especially welcome on chilly dark winter days.

On Tap At Gnome Brew

Hop Sampler: Wakatu

Initially released in 1988 as New Zealand Hallertau, Wakatu was renamed in 2011 after the Maori name for Nelson. It was bred from an open pollination of Hallertau Mittelfrüh by a New Zealand-derived male.  With a pronounced earthy-sweet floral Hallertau character underscored by tropical fruit notes, Wakatu is a standout for any lager style, wheat, or pale hybrid beers. It makes a good supporting hop in blends for hoppy American ales.

Fresh lime zest and citrus oils with a definite Mittelfrüh-style sweetness: clover, hay, honey, and blossoms.

Simply Brewing™ West Coast IPA Receipe Kit

A classic IPA with plenty of citrus, pine, and hop bitterness.

Brew it yourself: 2.5 gallon 1 Hour Recipe Kit, or the 5 gallon 3 Hour Recipe Kit

Simply Brewing™ Vanilla Oatmeal Stout Recipe Kit

Roasty, rich and velvety, with a sweet vanilla finish.

Brew it yourself: 2.5 gallon 1 Hour Recipe Kit, or the 5 gallon 3 Hour Recipe Kit

On Deck

Hop Sampler: Amarillo

Now one of the top 10 most widely used hops, Amarillo was discovered growing wild in a field of Liberty hops in 1990 and released in 2003.  It is known for it's orange, lemon, grapefruit and other citrus character which is related to its especially high levels of Myrcene.

Simply Brewing™ Sour IPA Recipe Kit

An intense aroma of tropical fruit and citrus from Sabro and Citra hops is balanced by a refreshing light sour finish.  Lallemand's exclusive Philly Sour yeast allows brewing a sour beer without the extra steps and contamination risk of lactic acid producing bacteria.

Brew it yourself: 2.5 gallon 1 Hour Recipe Kit, or the 5 gallon 3 Hour Recipe Kit
