Belgian Dubbel - 1 Hour Recipe Kit

Inspired by beers such as: Chimay Première, St. Bernadus Pater 6, Westmalle Dubbel

The Belgian Dubbel is a traditional Trappist style ale that highlights the esters produced by Belgian yeast strains and utilizes dark Candi sugar for higher alcohol content while maintaining a dry finish. Dubbel is a dark amber ale that blends together complex caramel malt flavors with dried fruit ester character. Noble hops impart a light bitterness and mild floral aromatics. A balanced and delicate beer with a creamy off white head, Dubbel serves as an excellent entry point to the wide world of traditional Belgian brewing.

The brew process involves dissolving malt extract into heated water, steeping bags of milled grain (if applicable), boiling and/or steeping bags of hop pellets, and cooling the wort (unfermented beer) in a sink to be added to your fermentation vessel.
