Weyermann Rye Malt is a base malt that functions much like wheat in that it can be the base of a recipe or it can be used to modify the flavor and feel of a beer. It will lend a golden color to wort with a honey flavor and a subtle earthy spice note characteristic of rye. Rye malt can also be used to create a softer mouthfeel in a recipe. Consider using rice hulls or another filtration aid at larger additions.
