Simpsons Peated Malt is a specialty malt used mainly for the purposes of distilling, but it can bring a deeply earthy smoked flavor to beer as well. Peated malt is the source of the well known smoky characteristics of Scotch Whisky which will be expressed in a wort even in small additions.
