Simpsons Double Roasted Crystal (DRC®) is a highly roasted crystallized malt. It will contribute reddish-brown color to a wort with heavy caramel sweetness, notes of roastiness and hints of plum and raisin. DRC® can be used in place of darker roasted malts when seeking to avoid the dry bitterness of a heavily roasted malt.
