Briess Black malt is a heavily roasted dark malt typically used to adjust color and flavor, often in conjunction with chocolate malt or roasted barley. It will lend a dark brown to black color to a wort, and in smaller quantities Briess Black will provide a neutral flavor, with a dry roastiness at larger quantities.
