Bock - 3 Hour Recipe Kit

$79.99

Smooth, rich and malty German-style lager with notes of dried fruit

Inspired by beers such as: Einbecker Ur-Bock Dunkel, Great Lakes Rockefeller Bock, Shiner Bock

A Bock is a strong, malty lager that originated in Germany. It is typically amber to brown in color, with a rich, malty flavor and a medium to high alcohol content. Bocks are often enjoyed during the winter months, but can be enjoyed year-round. While lager yeasts normally require cold fermentation to achieve their delicate, clean flavors, this beer is fermented with Saflager W-34/70 — a lager yeast with an unusually high temperature range. It can ferment at room temperature with ease and result in a similar flavor profile.

Simply Brewing® 3 Hour Recipe Kits contain all the ingredients for new and experienced brewers to easily brew 5 gallons of beer in a simple, 3-hour brewday with the use of a 3 Hour Equipment Kit and any 5+ gallon stovetop pot. The brew process involves dissolving malt extract into heated water, steeping bags of milled grain (if applicable), boiling and/or steeping bags of hop pellets, and cooling the wort (unfermented beer) in a sink to be added to your fermentation vessel. The wort is then topped off with chilled water for an even faster cool, and the yeast is added. All this including cleanup takes just 3 hours!
