Come out for our monthly bottle share on Thursday, August 8 at 7:15 PM. We had a great turn out last month, lots of fun, and lots of great beer!
Just bring a couple bottles of your homebrewed beer, cider, wine, mead, or whatever to share with others. If you're new to homebrewing or just don't have any spare bottles, don't worry—you're welcome to come.
Bottle shares are a great opporunity to try others' homebrews, get feedback on your own homebrew, and trade tips, tricks and stories. But mostly, it's a time to hang out and have fun with fellow beer lovers.
This is a free event.
Grab a bag of Citra for brewing your hazys (you'll need a lot!), or Hallertau for your Oktoberfests, Bocks, and German Wheats.
Get your pound bags of pellet hops locally at prices that are competitive with online retailers.
We even have pound bags of whole cone Cascade and Centennial—only $12.99 for a limited time!
Gnome Brew is about to get a lot more convenient.
Can't make it to the store to get your brewing supplies? We'll be offering delivery each Friday evening so you can get brewing on the weekend. Just order with our Online Store by 3:00 PM Friday, and we'll have it to you that same night!
Delivery will only be initally available for select zip codes. We’ll expand service based on demand, so let us know if you’re interested. No minimum order. We'll be announcing more details in the newsletter.
Don't miss one of the best homebrew events around! 14 homebrew clubs will be there with jockey boxes fully loaded with homebrew. We had a great time last year and can't wait for this one.
The event is from 2 PM to 7PM at the CHAOS clubhouse, 2417 W Hubbard. Admission is free (donations accepted). More information on facebook
We've launched our Hop Sampler Series—an exploration of single hop beers all with the same base recipe. We’re dedicating a tap handle to always have a hop sampler pouring.
Chinook is a classic American hop most known for its use in Northwest-style pale ales and IPAs, but has often been used in almost any American beer style including porters and stouts. It is known for its soft piney and earthy aroma and flavor, but also has citrus notes, particularly grapefruit. At 12-14% Alpha Acid, it can be used for bittering.
Come in and try it for yourself!
